BETABASE BASIC (ß-TCP): Fully synthetic, resorbable bone replacement material. Grain size: 0.5 - 1.0 mm. Contents: 1.0 cc in a glass jar, sterile packed.

The fully synthetic BetaBASE granulate consists of phase-pure ß-TCP and has an interconnecting pore system of micro and macro pores, which realizes osteoconduction, also known as the guide rail effect, in an almost ideal way: osteoblasts and blood vessels can quickly sprout into the open pore system and quickly build through BetaBASE - this also enables the resorption of the material from the inside. The total porosity of BetaBASE is over 60% - this means that the body has to break down a much smaller amount of the bone replacement material in relation to the volume of the defect and the resorption process is accelerated; after approx. 9-12 months the ß-TCP material can then no longer be detected by X-ray.

Any risk of infection that may arise when using or processing biological material is excluded with BetaBASE. BetaBASE is manufactured, sterilized and packaged exclusively in Germany. BetaBASE is manufactured under GMP conditions and complies with the internationally recognized material standard ASTM F 1088-04.
